Smoking cannabis and ingesting it are two very different things
When I first tried marijuana about 10 years ago, it was through smoking a rolled joint that a buddy took on the car ride to a concert.
It was actually weak cannabis because I didn’t entirely feel “high” like I had been anticipating.
I didn’t get the full experience until roughly a month later when another good buddy gave myself and others hydroponic weed through a compact pipe. At the time I didn’t actually know that it was way stronger marijuana, roughly 3 times as strong as the first batch. I was completely soaring in my head while strolling around his parents’ residence in the dark. It was this night when I finally could feel the power and wonder of marijuana. As I grew older and was able to experiment with other consumption methods, I could see how different the experience of the plant could be with one type of consumption versus another. The best example is cooking and eating cannabis. There are times when you lose cannabinoids during the heating process, but you’re also decarboxylating the psychoactive components so they can be absorbed in your digestive tract. There is also the major difference between vaporizing marijuana and combusting it in a joint, bong, or pipe. My local cannabis dispensary offers many types of discounts on vaporizers if you shop and gain points after a particular number of purchases. The cannabis dispensary easily recommends vaporization because it bypasses the awful health effects of combustion. A ton of tar is inhaled when combusting any sort of plant matter, regardless of whether or not it’s tobacco or organic marijuana. After I purchased a vaporizer from the local cannabis dispensary, I could finally experience the true wonders of terpenes and extra cannabinoids. I could finally vape on low temperatures as well!
