Buds and buddies age in rather different ways… An aged bud ends up drying up, loses its potency, and it pretty much turns to that powder known as shake.
An aged friend never ends up drying up, though, no matter how long the friendship lies dormant.
Recently I managed to connect with a guy I used to be close with back in school. After graduation life pulled us in completely different directions, for the length of 20 years. It wasn’t until recently when we were able to rekindle that aged friendship. It’s funny how things repeat themselves, as if time has a loop to it, because I ran into Toby in line at the cannabis dispensary. This is funny, because I first met Toby in sophomore year of private school as the two of us were both waiting in line to get some cannabis from a mutual friend. Back after that we would only get dirt weed, because most people didn’t know where to find quality cannabis. The two of us easily made do with what the two of us could, and in the process of getting marijuana Toby and I became pretty good pals. All these years later, circumstances are shockingly different. Recreational marijuana use is legal, and the two of us ended up meeting again just like the first time! We honestly had a good laugh about it, and after that I did what the two of us did the first time, relax in the vehicle out front and smoke cannabis until the whole vehicle was filled with smoke. Since then, Toby and I have been getting together fairly often, and smoking huge amounts of cannabis while listening to a lot of the same aged vinyl records we did back in the days.
