Medical cannabis

Like various other households around here, ours is a single that differs in opinion on various topics, then my fiance and I differ greatly in many of our political and social views of the world around us. I know it has to do with both of our upbringings and our option of careers. I’m a caregiver at a local senior citizen housing facility where I must deal with both life and death situations and long-term illnesses every week. My fiance is a cop in the inner-city so the two of us have unquestionably weird views of the world around us, but when a discussion that comes up unquestionably frequently is the use of medical marijuana in the treating of terminal and long-term illnesses. I can see the benefits of these treatments and know for sure that medical marijuana, and in some cases recreational use, should be legalized. But My fiance is furious every time I even mentioned this topic because she deals with the use of illegal drugs such as marijuana and worse in a much weird situation.  She comes face-to-face every morning with illegal drug dealers and the consequences of those who partake of these things as well. The often sees young lives chop short by overdose and is completely opposed to the legalization of medical and recreational marijuana, however she feels rotten by legalizing this so-called “ harmless” drug, it will lead to be more frequent use of harder and harder drugs that take lives on a weekly basis. She feels that medical marijuana needs to be strictly enforced and only through, rigorous testing, should it be available to anyone, however because I can see the other side of it where people are suffering from long-term pain or life ending illnesses, I can see the benefits of having it readily available to ease their discomfort. I do not suppose at all that medical marijuana is the answer, to everything, but, if they can make a woman much more comfortable in the last days I suppose that it should be an option.
